The Difference Between The Violent Left & the Violent Right

in #informationwar7 years ago (edited)

Ive thought for quite a while that this recent wave of independent media reporters was a mixture of charlatans aware enough to foresee the demise of the left for what it was, and controlled opposition. While I am not entirely sure about Tim Pool yet, I am sure that Roaming Millennial is one of the two.

I watched this video because of the title assuming that the the reporters would be in favor of the rioting, but much of this video is critiquing the emergence of violence towards the police at the Tommy Robinson protest and comparing it to the unnecessary use of force by Antifa. Maybe I'm biased but as one who used to be a staunch leftist before being converted through constant political discussion with educated people on the right, I believe that I do have the power to look at things objectively from multiple perspectives.

Regardless of my biases, or abilities to look at thing from multiple perspectives it comes down to this. The left has become violent with the intention of suppressing the right to speak of those they disagree with, while the right did not become violent until they no longer had the right to speak. Put aside your affiliations and whoever you agree with, because none of that matters. If you can't see why one is righteous and the other is oppressive then I care not to convince you, and will instead endorse the violent use of force upon you because even though I am extremely against the use of violence, I do understand that there comes a point when submission and violence are the only two options left.

The right has literally gotten to that point where they have no other options left, while the left only fears that it will get to that point and because of the lefts inability to control their fear, they have become the authoritarian oppressor that most on the left believe they are against.

This is funny as hell to me.

Violence
Violence is defined by the World Health Organization as "the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, which either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment, or deprivation," although the group acknowledges that the inclusion of "the use of power" in its definition expands on the conventional understanding of the word. This definition involves intentionality with the committing of the act itself, irrespective of the outcome it produces. However, generally, anything that is excited in an injurious or damaging way may be described as violent even if not meant to be violence (by a person and against a person).
Globally, violence resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1.28 million people in 2013 up from 1.13 million in 1990.

I do not advocate violence, however, what happened to Tommy was so unacceptable that I am not at all surprised to see it turn violent. Tommy is a peaceful person he was using his freedom of speech in order to make change.

By penalizing him for using his speech in a peaceful way and then having the balls to dictate that nobody can talk about what happened to Tommy without suffering consequences, they are in essence making peaceful revolution impossible.

I think the government knows what they're doing, I think they are inviting in the violence. What their end game is, that I do not know.

This is entirely why my original stance was what it was. Tommy also knew what he was getting himself into, I honestly believe that he's accepted the fact that playing martyr may be the only way to get not just the UK but Europe in general to wake up, and stand up for themselves. Which is what is finally happening
