A movie from 1988, outlines where we currently are today, just not ruled by aliens, just some other group. Four years after the date that we were "supposed" to be living in a dystopian form of socialism; John Carpenter creates a horror sci-fi, toying with the idea that we were already living in a dystopian future, but just couldn't recognise it.

The lead character finds a pair of glasses that, when worn, reveals the truth of the world around him. I loved the corny 80s feel of this movie. I have been enjoying some older movies these days, I never see these latest movies that they are producing now, they are just not interesting.
