BREXIT: Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November…

in #informationwar5 years ago (edited)

Instead of voting BoJo’s great “New Deal” on ‘Super Saturday’, we got another delay. As the Brexit match is getting delayed, bureaucracy improves the shape and is returning blows to the will of the people, while their minority get more aggressive in the streets around the House of Commons…

Before we start with the story about the Parliament rats… I meant members, let’s see the really important news today. Julian Assange appeared before Westminster Magistrates Court to ask the postponement of an extradition hearing scheduled for February. He was refused. As you may remember, the “Empire” has charged Assange with possession and dissemination of classified information. If found guilty, he could receive up to 175 years in prison. According to witnesses, before the court Assange had problems with understanding the questions and said that he couldn’t “think properly.” One of the Ruptly videographers managed to capture his pics being transported after the court hearing on Monday:

No delay for Julian, but every chance possible to delay Brexit – that is OK. Because, in the meantime, the remainers can organize their lot into a lynch mob, ready to forcibly quash the result of the 2016 referendum. This is how Jacob Rees-Mogg and his 12-year old son Peter, were escorted while heckled by anti-Brexit protesters as they left Parliament:

Now let’s return to the sewers. Here is in short what happened inside the Parliament on Saturday:

In the House of Commons, an amendment proposed by former Tory cabinet minister Sir Oliver Letwin (does that name reminds you of Alan Ford comic?) was passed by UK lawmakers. It ostensibly means that support for Johnson’s deal with the EU will be withheld until formal ratification legislation of the Withdrawal Agreement Bill is passed by MPs in the lower house and by lords in the upper house.

Great! A shiny new chance for another looooooong, long delay at least, and indefinite at best. Then, in theory, the Benn Act requires the prime minister by law to send the EU Council a letter requesting an EU extension. And Boris Johnson reacted. As PM already said, he will rather be “dead in the ditch”, he had to call any further voting on Saturday meaningless and refused to ask the EU for a Brexit delay past October 31. Well, almost…

As a true clown, Johnson sent European Council President Donald Tusk a total of three letters: an unsigned draft letter asking for a delay; a cover letter explaining that he was forced to do so; and a signed letter emphasizing that any extension would be a mistake. Don’t he know that EU will grab any delay offer they can get? And his fellow cabinet minister Michael Gove, who is in charge of no-deal planning, triggered ‘Operation Yellowhammer’, ramping up preparations for a potential no-deal Brexit, with an ‘excuse’ that UK can no longer guarantee the EU will grant an extension. What a farce! Of course they know EU will allow any delay if asked, and the ‘Yellowhammer’ is just another pressure element at the Brexit oriented public to accept voting for the deal in the House of Commons.

And while the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) of Northern Ireland is signaling they’ll reject customs union compromise, our favorite insider, former MP George Galloway, thinks that Boris Johnson’s plan is a done deal, and that remainers (together with the phony Labour party) are celebrating ‘pyrrhic victory’.

On the other hand, Brexit Party Leader and MEP, Nigel Farage, has much more pessimistic opinion:

He is afraid that the deal (which is Brexit in name only) will get slim majority, and then there will be another referendum to “confirm a deal”. Basically, there will be a choice between two remain options, and no Brexit! That would be the ultimate scam, made by the EU fanatics who truly consider people as sheep that didn’t know what they were voting for in the 2016 referendum:

With this kind of “patronising stuck up snobs” you really cannot have any sensible discussion. They are living inside their own bubble and if reality does not fit their opinion – then that must go bad for reality!

When the dialog stops and death threats start flying, then we are not far away from civil war. I know. I lived in a country that has been dismantled in a similar fashion. But the UK is a bit different country. Former Empire. There is a question if all the ‘mental control techniques’ will work on British people when they woke up on November 1st and realize they have been cheated once again. Will they accept their sheep status, or we shall hear the famous chant: “Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November…”

Don’t forget Julian Assange!

Thank you for your support of Assange when very few people are standing up and defending human rights, international law and free speech!

#FreeAssange

Thank you very much for keeping the free speech fire burning, @unity4j. I can’t contribute much, but I’ll do everything I can.
