Venzolanos More problems to leave the country
High costs to process passports
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reported Friday that as of November 1, the issuance of passports and extensions will be collected in Petros.
He specified that as of Monday, August 8, the issuance of passports in Venezuela will cost 7,200 sovereign bolivars and that the extensions will cost 3,600 sovereign bolivars. He indicated that the costs in sovereign bolivars will be only for the month of October and that from November 1 the issuance of passports will cost 2 petros and the extension 1 petro.
For his part, Rodriguez pointed out that for Venezuelans abroad, since October 8, the issuance of passports will cost $ 200 and the extension $ 100. And that from November 1 the issue will cost 2 petros and the extension 1 petro.
The vice president said that these costs were established within the guidelines of the Recovery, Growth and Economic Prosperity Program that the National Executive is implementing since August 20 and anchored in the impulse of the Venezuelan cryptocurrency, to overcome the factors that disturb the national economy.
"As instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, on the day of the launch of the cryptocurrency, all services will have to be charged in petro. So we're going towards a new architecture, we're going to a new operation. "
Creation of Immigration Police to prevent the departure of Venezuelans without a passport
The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez announced the activation of the administrative immigration police in the country.
"The migratory police have been born to preserve citizen security and migratory control, as it also exists in other countries where it is an administrative, direct service that confers operations to a specialized body in this matter," Rodriguez said in statements this Friday from the Vice Presidency. .
He said that Article 39 of the Law on the Police Service and the Bolivarian National Police Force confers the powers of service and immigration control to the PNB.
"Thus, the migratory police is born operationally to attend the 72 checkpoints that exist both at the borders, in the ports and at the airports," he said.
Rodriguez explained that this administrative police was already preparing at the National Experimental University of Security (Unes) and also in what has to do with the new organizational structure of the Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime) that will preserve the competencies in matters of identity and immigration.
Personal opinion
Just friends, is the most effective way to avoid the stampedes of Venezuelans fleeing the country, the high costs to get the passport makes it impossible for Venezuelans dependent on minimum salary to acquire the document.
On the other hand, the creation of the migratory police is to prevent the departure of Venezuelan without this document and thus to stop the daily exit of thousands of Venezuelans, with this to change the opinion of international observers making believe that in Venezuela there is no humanitarian crisis and that simply the one who leaves is because he really has money for paperwork and trips that sinister and macabre moving of the Government of Nicolas Maduro.
