RE: An Interesting Story You Must Read, A Black Mermaid Tells Me About Herself.
@oluwatobiloba I am very conscious about my relationship with people. My last year in University, A particular night, I went to see my ex at the female hostel, I stayed in an obscure shade waiting for her to come out. Few minutes after, a venza parked infront of the shade, I was unnoticed. After 15 minutes, 6 ladies arrived approaching the car, the driver came out. After a short discussion, he told them he had an emergency appointment, that they won't be going out again.
5 of the 6 girls left, I saw the driver shouting at the last girl. It was the most peccancy word I havd ever heard
"what is your problem now, I told you I need a girl to use, all this ones have been used".
After 20 minutes, The Girl (destroyer of lifes), brought out another 5 girl and the guy left with 2 of them.
I was overwhelmed by the scene that I did not notice my ex was calling me. I try to get a grip of the girl face but I couldn't.
That Night I couldn't see my ex and it was the last time I visited her hostel till I graduated. One thing I learnt from all this, it that the victim of this evil deeds are people that lack self control and contentment. We need self control in an out-of-control-world.
Self control is the power to master the expression of our passion and emotion. We need to educate ourselves to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will.
Peter 1:13 says therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
That is a serious one o, thanks a lot for sharing.
I am telling you, the stories we watch in Nigeria films are actually happening everyday 😔. It is only God we can look on to direct our path.
