Spider-Man: Homecoming / Infinity War Preparation – 2018 MCU Re-Watch
Week 14 of my Infinity War Preparation – 2018 MCU Re-Watch
After the Giant-Size crossover of Civil War the timeline lets us focus on the two new characters it introduced, via a couple of spin-off sequels.
Firstly, kicking off one week later, it would be Black Panther and then, starting two months later, Spider-Man.
Once again during this chronological re-watch I am struck by how well a film slots into the timeline. Not only does this follow on nicely from Parker's introduction in Civil War but they also retroactively weave both him and Vulture into the MCU timeline, with loads of callbacks along the way.
Even though this is the 21st MCU film or One-Shot I've seen in the last three months, it still managed to bring a fresh angle to things via the High School Movie / Superhero Movie mash up.
I didn't quite love it as much as my first watch but it's a lot of fun and I look forward to seeing him interacting with more MCU characters in Infinity War.
