Novel Claims Police Investigator to Discuss Hard Water Case

KPK investigator Novel Baswedan revealed a number of Metro Jaya Police investigators visited his residence to discuss the development of water hard watering cases.

With a relaxed atmosphere, Novel claims to have given some new information in the meeting.

"I met with police investigators here, I talked for a long time, and of course my conversation was not a casual conversation, but talked about the attack on me," Novel said at his residence in Jakarta on Tuesday (27/2).

Novel assessed the investigation of his case well done by the Police even though it has not yielded positive results.

He dismissed allegations the Police override information from other parties. In addition to checking himself, Novel said police investigators have also examined the family and people closest to him.

"Obviously, that's the purpose for the purpose of investigation, I do not think there is anything if it is more or less Police depart from (other party's statement)," he said.

Furthermore, Novel says always open up for the police to check himself.

"I'm open with anyone," Novel said.

Novel watered hard by unknown people after morning prayers at the mosque around his home in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, in April 2017.

Both eyes Novel damaged by the spray of hard water. He was treated for several months in Singapore before returning to Indonesia earlier this week.

The police have not succeeded to arrest the sprinklers.

A number of parties, including Novel, asked President Joko Widodo to form a Joint Fact Finding Team to speed up the disclosure of the case.
