Jika kalian berkunjung ke Masjid Agung Baitul Makmur Meulaboh pastikan anda untuk tidak merokok di perkarangan masjid. Jika tidak, maka siap-siap anda harus membayar denda hingga jutaan rupiah.
Aturan larangan merokok tersebut tercantum dalam Qanun Nomor 14 Tahun 2015 tentang Kawasan Tanpa Rokok di lingkungan masjid. Tidak hanya merokok, para pedagang pun akan dikenakan denda jika diketahui menjual rokok di seputaran lingkungan masjid.

Dalam pengumuman yang tersebar ke seluruh penjuru halaman masjid tersebut tercantum jika kedapatan merokok maka akan didenda sebesar Rp. 100.000, jika mempromosikan/menjual rokok di seputaran masjid akan didenda sebesar Rp. 500.000, dan jika ada pimpinan dalam arti kata pejabat yang kedapatan merokok di perkarangan masjid maka akan dikenakan denda sebesar Rp. 5.000.000; besarkan dendanya? Jika tidak mau dikenakan denda sebaiknya anda tidak merokok di lingkungan masjid.
Melansir pemberitaan Serambi Indonesia pada tanggal 2 Januari 2018, Ketua Badan Kemakmuran Masjid Agung Baitul Makmur Meulaboh menyebutkan bahwa aturan untuk melarang setiap warga yang berkunjung ke masjid untuk tidak merokok sengaja dilakukan. Hal ini agar suasana di masjid akan lebih fresh dan nyaman dalam beribadah, selain itu juga agar kebersihan di lingkungan masjid akan terjaga.

Nah, bagaimana steemians, masih mau ngerokok di lingkunga masjid Agung Meulaboh? Kalau saya pribadi sih kalau bisa aturan seperti ini juga diterapkan di lingkungan masjid-masjid lainnya juga, agar di lingkungan masjid terbebas dari asap rokok dan tentunya juga akan bersih dari putung-putung rokok yang berserakan.

Betul, sudah seharusnya di area publik (baik itu dilingkunhan masjid, halte, dll) harus diterapkan aturan kawasan bebas rokok.
