Leicester City helicopter owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha crashed into the King Power Stadium parking lot and killed at least five people
The helicopter belonging to Leicester City club boss Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha suffered an accident and crashed in the parking area of the team's headquarters, King Power Stadium, Leicester, England, Saturday (10/27). The accident occurred after Leicester's 1-1 draw against West Ham United in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Various British media reported this. But it is unknown whether Vichai was in the helicopter when the accident occurred. Because the helicopter left the field around an hour after the match was over and soon the accident occurred.
"The helicopter just came out of the roof of the stadium before it went out of control and fell to the ground then exploded," one eyewitness told Reuters.
Leicester has not provided official information unless it states that they are collaborating with the Leicestershire police and emergency officers to handle the situation.
This was conveyed through Leicester's various media channels, both social media and official websites on Sunday (10/28) morning WIB.
"We are helping the Leicestershire Police and emergency officers handle accidents that occur at King Power Stadium," the statement said. "The club will issue a more complete statement after more detailed information."
Vichai is so popular with Leicester fans. He bought the club in 2010 and under his ownership the Foxes successfully defeated giant clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea to win the English Premier League trophy in 2016.
let us hope he was not in the helicopter
