Masjid Agung Al-Akbar Kota Surabaya

Al-Akbar Mosque or masjid is the great masjid of Surabaya, East Java. It is the second largest masjid in Indonesia after masjid Istiqlal in Jakarta.

It is called Mihrab. Mihrab is semicircular place in the wall of mosque that indicated the qibla. While qibla is the direction should face when praying it direction of Kaabah in Mecca.

In term of area, the building of the masjid and supporting facilities combined are 22,300 square meters wide. The capacity of pilgrims 59,000.
