Mount Tambora

Mount Tambora is an active stratovolcano located on the island of Sumbawa, Indonesia. The mountain is located in two districts, namely Dompu Regency, and Bima District. Before the eruption, Mount Tambora has a height of 4300 mdpl one of the highest peaks in Indonesia. After the eruption, the height of this mountain is only as high as 2851 m. The eruption of Tambora in 1815 was the largest eruption in history.
