Just ate at an Indian restaurant and it was simply delicious!

in #indian6 years ago

Went for a business trip in Rome a couple of weeks ago. I had very little free time to go around in the city which I have already seen many times.

So I dediced to find a good restaurant for lunch. There was an Indian restaurant and I really like ethnic food. I know being in Rome I should have tried Roman cousine like carbonara etc.. but I went for Indian food this time.

The Indian restaurant I tried is called Sitar.

Once inside, there was an indian lady managing the restaurant and a waiter from Pakistan. Strange enough they spoke the same language, Sikh.

The plates I ate there where that not particular.

A thin bread, Tadoori chicken and basmati rise as in the pictures below.

There was also a king of lentichies soup to dress the rice in the bucket of metal you can see in the center of the table!

I also drank their traditional drink which is just yogurt diluited in water. Can't recall the name but it was good.

However, this sauces were the end of the world.

I felt that I could eat everything with those sauces even the stones :-) They were spicy but not to much and I could tell there was ginger, lime and some other falvors and spices I couldn't identify.

I can tell that the food was delicious but the merit is only to the souces :-)

And at the end an indian sweet. It was just rice cooked in sweet milk with some powder of cinnamon on top.

So at the end I would give a five star to the indian food mainly thanks to the souces. When I asked for the bill the waiter and the indian lady gave me also a mix of sugar big grains wit some kind of seeds.

They told me that by eating this mix it would help me digest better.

Finally, I can tell that my first impression of indian food was a fantastic experience and I must repeat it soon.

I love Indian food 😋
Now I’m craving for it.
I’m salivating watching at your pictures.

Now I know what you mean :-)

And we only get to read about how you enjoyed it. If it was possible to transfer some...

I would do it :-) for you to try the Indian food becouse it really was delicious :-)

Hehe sorry :-) I didn't mean to make you envy my indian food ;-)

Usually when I eat Indian food I drink much more than I eat.

It was the opposite for me! The only thing I could drink was the diluited yogurt. Is there any other kind of indian drink ? Have you aver tried to make any of those spicy souces at home ?

Never tried that at home ;) In the restaurant I used to go we had plenty of water :)

Ah ok 😀

nice, upvoted

Thanks :-)

This is an original and touching write up
@alketcecaj. The desert looks the best and the pictures all came out well too.

On another note I need to say this because you are so kind and you continue to post things I like. I know you've been on Steemit for a while and I noticed your voting power gets worn down sometimes. If you vote at 100% it takes some hours to restore the voting power back again. Your voting percentage is at 15% right now and will take like two days to get back to normal. There is a slider you can use for voting to change the percentage you give for each vote. You can see well through busy.org

Check out this post for more explanation

https://steemit.com/steem-help/@sykochica/what-s-this-slider-bar-and-vote-power-percentage-what-s-the-difference

I recommend now only giving small votes like 5-10% until your SP percentage gets back to at least 80%.
I am only saying this because I want to help you use the SP you have to the fullest potential. There are also ways of delegating your SP to get a profit.

https://steemit.com/steem/@smartsteem/guide-how-to-delegate-to-smartsteem-and-earn-profit-shares
I am doing that with 100SP delegated to these guys and the pay me about 0.15 SBD per day.

If you have any questions just let me know.

Thank you for apprecitaing my post :-) and for the valid advice about voting power. Indeed I do not pay much attention to it and behave as it was an unlimited resource :-) However you are right and I'll try to use it with better parsimony :-)

Yea, Indians have delicious dishes, i've tried their dish.
