Ahmedabad as a modern day city would go unnoticed from a historians taste if it were not for its gates. There are an array of beautiful majestic structures with a lot of importance dated back to the times when the city was much more of a kingdom. The journey from the Mughal-Maratha rule, to the times of Mahatma, all the way to the current day status of a cosmopolitan Mega (Neo-Metro) City, these architectural structures have witnessed it all. They not only hold heritage value but also continue to remain landmarks for the city.
