Most of the deserts in India are situated in Rajasthan. Some of them are my favorite. Let me tell you which ones are those one by one.

Bikaner Desert :

Bikaner is situated in the northern region of Rajasthan. It is also home to one of the world’s largest camel research and breeding farms; as well as being known for having its own unique temple dedicated to Karni Mata at Deshnok, called the Rats Temple. Numerous forts and palaces make Bikaner the wonderful historical city it is today. While most of these now lie in ruins, each of them represent untold stories and ancient beauty. One of the earlier established cities, Bikaner still displays its ancient opulence through palaces and forts, built of red sandstone, that have withstood the passage of time. Get a glimpse of the majestic Junagarh fort and its temples, palaces and their colourful marble flooring, unique in the fact that it’s not on a hill.

Jodhpur Desert :

It is also known as Blue City in Desert. The Blue City really is blue! Inside is a tangle of winding, glittering, medieval streets, which never seem to lead where you expect them to. Desert Safaris in Jodhpur are one of the best places to take a plunge into a sunny day. The city of Jodhpur is filled with adventure, and a tourist who visits Jodhpur must not miss the desert safari. Camel Safari is one of the best experiences in the world.
In the tour, you will be received in a traditional Rajasthan way, and there is a desert family with whom you will be having tea and understand the tradition and culture of the people. You get to experience the thrill of riding through the golden yellow dunes of the Thar Desert.
Samsara desert Camps are one of the best desert camps in the country, and it provides you with a culture mixed relaxing stay.

Pushkar Desert :

November is the time of the Pushkar fair and that is the time crowd throng to the sleepy town.
Pushkar in Rajasthan is surrounded by Thar Desert. Pushkar is a charming lakeside town and an important Hindu pilgrimage site. The best time for camping is from late October to February. Although there are no great sights to see or great adventures to do but this small town has a unique charm which beats it all. Of course there are camels as far as the eye can see. Approximately twenty thousand of these beasts of burden are here to be bought or traded. Camping will provide the opportunity to participate in the festivities. The camps in Pushkar are generally royalty inspired luxury tents with numerous facilities. Pushkar is second only to Jaisalmer, another city of Rajasthan, in it’s wide array of local camel safari operators.

Jaisalmer Desert :

For most of the travelers, this is one of the most memorable experience of Jaisalmer or may be of India as well. While exploring the Golden City it’s likely you will be offered a camel safari in Jaisalmer. Everyone has a camel safari for sale in Jaisalmer, shopkeepers, restaurant staff, your hotel and the various travel companies dotted about the old fort all have packages on offer. It’s the most popular tourist attraction in the western region of Rajasthan.
