The story of nose-cut

I am going to tell you a funny Indian folk story that I enjoyed very much in my childhood, hope you will enjoy it .

In India there was a village called Nilambur, where there was a young brothers named Aikaan and Puikaan, who were very poor, their father died earlier, they living with their old aged mother.

Aikaan is elder one, not so smart, but Puikaan is very smart and bold. There was a big landlord in their village, brother Aikaan went to the landlord to ask for servant job, the landlord put some conditions on him, "If I dismiss you from the job, you can cut off my nose, as well as if you leave from the job I will cut your nose.?"

Few days later he went to the boss and said "Sir, I can't work anymore, please allow me to leave the job"

"Hahaha poor boy, No problem I will cut off the nose as I have already said" the landlord laugh at him and cut off his nose.

Aikaan went to his house without nose, his mother and brother asked him the reason, he told the the whole story and cried. His brother Puikaan got anger and said "Don't worry brother, I will take the revenge".

Next day Puikaan went to the landlord and said that he was seeking a servant job, the landlord put the conditions as usual "If I dismiss you from the job, you can cut off my nose, as well as if you leave from the job I will cut your nose."

Puikann agreed and joined the job. The first task was to given him a cow and tell him to shepherd it, he took the cow long way off, and there was a big pit full of mud, he cut off the cow's tail and it into the mud, the tail looked as the half of the tail sink in to the mud and half of the tail visible, then he took the cow to his own house and hide it.

Then he took some mud applied his dress and legs, went to the landlord said "Sir, the cow disappear as she went into the pit of mud"

"What , what are you talking about, common let me see the place"

The landlord went to the quagmire and saw the cow's tail floating on the mud.

"Here it is sir, I tried to pull out but went deeper, I am sorry"

The landlord believed he was right as he saw the tail, he thought the cow sink in and only the tail appeared.

" Okay leave it, I will give you another task"

The next day he was given the job of washing the clothes, he threw the clothes on the stone and washed away, and the clothes were torn apart

The landlord got anger, but what can he do since he cannot dismiss him because of the condition. He gave him a cooking job.

He add some herb seeds when he cooks, the seeds, everyone in landlord's family wanted to eat the food, it was delicious, but suffers by loose motion for all who have eaten it, everyone visited the toilet several time in the whole night.

The landlord tired of his servant's mistakes, but he was helpless, if he dismiss him he will be loss his nose, any how he didn't want to loose it, he call Puikaan and asked what to do without cutting the nose.

"You cut my brother Aikaan's nose, so I'll cut your nose" he said

"No I don't let you cut my nose, I will give you money instead of my nose"

"Your money will not give his nose again"

"I will give you one part of my land"

"No, If you give me land then give me half of the land otherwise I cut the nose" he show him a knife.

And finally the landlord agreed to give him half of his land instead of the nose. And the brothers became a landlord.
