Planning a car trip in South India
I'm planning a car trip with my wife and 3 kids in South India. We live in Bangalore, so it will be the start and end point of the trip. The trip will be approximately 6-7 days.
It's a bit of a challenge to plan such a long trip for the first time for the whole family, but it's also exciting at the same time. To be honest, the main part of the "challenge" is our 3 kids, aged almost 6, 3 and 2 years.
Here is my preliminary plan:

Travel agenda
- Day 1 Bangalore -> Chikmagalur
- travel time: 5h30
- Day 2 relaxing in Chikmagalur
- Day 3 Chikmagalur -> Udupi
- travel time: 4h00
- Day 4, 5 relaxing in Udupi
- Day 6 Udupi -> Medikari
- travel time: 4h30
- Day 7 Medikari -> Bangalore
- travel time: 6h00
The longest travel time in the car is the last stretch of the journey: 6h00 followed by the first stretch of the journey: 5h30.
This looks nice so far. Next steps is to find nice accomodations where to sleep and relax.

It looks like great planning, you will get good hotels in Madikeri, but I feel you will be really tired of this exhausting travel. You can actually cut down, one or two places to get relaxed.
