My AtoZ inspirations: M - Narendra Modi, the Teaseller Prime Minister
Narendra Modi
I respect him a lot and if you don't, let's agree to disagree. I don't believe that he is the game changer for the country or he is single-handedly going to take India to great heights. There are few things that I disagree with him and certain things that I've not been happy with his administration. Having said that, I admire Modi for his integrity and vision.
We take the morality and frugality of an individual's mind and apply to a whole nation. Sadly, that is not how things work. There is no definite solution to any large scale national level problems or one man who is responsible for all actions, good or bad. It is the system(nation) as a whole that is responsible and no matter what the decision taken. I believe in his ability to give hope to the people and get the right policy measures in place to make developmental progress.
As much as he is blamed for everything that is going wrong in the country because of his associated groups and organizations, which I believe is completely fine(to question Modi), but the way he has distanced himself and his governance during his political reign is less spoken about. I get carried away by the depth of a person's knowledge about the subject, the actions s/he has taken in the past and the vision s/he has about the future. Neither am I Bhakt nor am I fool to consider Modi to be the person who can create a new revolution.
But beyond the fact that there is no better alternative at the moment for the Prime Ministerial position, I also believe, his experience as an able administrator, his vision to provide good governance.
Modi's ability to connect with the masses because of his background, oration, vision and aura is something that nobody can deny. Following are the lessons that I've learned from this man after having read as well as followed his political and personal career:
When you grow large in life, haters and critics will increase exponentially. Instead of being put down, make use of it to grow and create more impact.
Adapt with a fast growing world and
Walk the talk. Certain people will hate you for it. But your actions decide how you reach your goals.
Live by your principles and practice what you preach. Be it against corruption or nepotism.
Reach out to a specific target of people to whose life you can create an impact on and then increase the reach.
And to heck with 2002. A conversation without that about Modi is never complete. What happened was bad but as per my reading of history , the whole case has to do with infiltration which led to the clashes between two religious communities and not one organization's role in attempt to create communal violence. Despite the fact that the Supreme Court has found no evidence to Modi's role and available data showing his immediate actions to seek support from neighboring states and central government to tackle the situation, he is continued to be blamed 15 years later. At the end of the day, the attacks on this man have only made him stronger.
