RBI to issue Rs 100 note in new design
New Delhi: The Reserve Bank on Thursday said it will issue new Rs 100 notes from lavender color having theme of Rani ki vav -- a step well situated in the banks of river Saraswati at Gujarat's Patan.
"All Rs 100 banknotes issued before will even remain legal tender, and" the central bank said while announcing the dilemma of the newest Rs 100 notes. The base color of this notice is Lavender.
The notice has additional layouts, geometric patterns aligning with a total color scheme both in the obverse and inverse.
Dimension of this banknote is going to be 66 mm x 142 mm, which makes it smaller than the present Rs 100 notes. The dimensions of present 100 notes is 157 mm x 73 mm "As is standard, when a brand new layout of the banknote is released, printing and distribution of those notes for supply to people through the banking station will slowly grow," stated the RBI, what problems the money in the nation. In any case, RBI introduced a Rs 200 notice as well as money notice in denomination of Rs 2,000 following the demonetisation.
