was born on 25 October 1944 in Pind Mulka (Mahfuz Abad), a village of Rawalpindi district. You chose to join the Pakistan Army on 25 October 1962. During the 1971 war, Mohammad Mahfuz was posted in Wahg Atari sector. On the night of December 16, when the ceasefire was announced, the area of Mil Kanjiri was under the control of Pakistan. After the declaration of ceasefire, Pakistani forces did not expect any attack. Lance Naik Mohammad Mahfuz was fighting with great difficulty, at one stage when his machine gun was destroyed by the enemy's bullet hitting a nail, he lifted the machine gun of a martyred comrade and attacked the enemy.
