The anatomy of a broken heart.

It is not the breakup that hurts us the most.It is the attachment with someone we build up with. The memories we had with that person. The song they used to sing. The place they used to visit. The very little thing that reminds you that once upon a time you fell deeply in love with that person. Breaking up is never really an easy thing to do and losing someone you love is never an easy thing to accept. Between the one who is leaving and the one who is being left behind. Who hurts the most?
There are so many questions left unanswered, the ifs and whys? How can someone hurt someone they loved? How can someone still love the same person over and over again despite the pain they caused you? How can you move on when you are still hoping that person would come back? Why are we still longing for someone in the past? It is not true that time heals a broken heart. It is God who is capable of making it brand new again. We may come a point in our life that it feels like we can't cry no more. The pain is like creeping out on our soul. But we should remember that God sometimes breaks us to be whole again. Ironic? Yes but God is sovereign. We have this hole in our heart that we think being with someone can make us complete but God created us, and that hole in our heart is for Him. There is beauty in brokenness, we are renewed, we may not understand what we are going through right now because of the pain, but one thing we should remember is we should trust God's heart.
So for now, deal with the pain, ask God to walk with you as you go through this season of moving on. Pick up yourself. God made you. You are beautiful with your imperfection, your scars, your past.
Let go, forget the things and look forward. Let God handle the pain and emotion you are having right now. Give your broken heart to God.
Be beautifully broken.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. -Isaiah 43:2
