Tearing families apart is not so much a "Trump thing" than it is a US policy thing that has been going on in various ways for decades - and it is ALSO happening to American Citizens, even ones who's family came over on the Mayflower.

If you are an American who has lived abroad and ever wanted to return home with a wife or husband you met there, you'll find out just how hard and expensive it can be for a citizen to return. I know one American who lost his family over the process. It comes down to "money." Not the rights of Americans.
