I am a permanent resident in Panama now so this post speaks to me a lot. In the 1.5 years I've been here I've seen the laws change, especially as more Venezuelans try to flee Venezuela. They've shut down the perpetual tourist gig and now they are cracking down visas as well and just flat out refusing them entry. I'm glad that I got the Friendly Nations visa when I did, since who knows how long that will last, or when it will be more difficult to obtain.
@choogirl, sometimes laws change and effect us, even when we are not the cause of the new laws.
I am glad to hear that you receive the Friendly Nations visa. I am sure that is a relief!
