There are actually several types of iguana but the common green iguana is among one of the largest. Averaging 6.5 feet long there tail alone can make up half the body length they are mostly found in the rain-forests either living in the tree canopies or near water banks. Iguanas look like really slow animals therefore we underestimate there power ,speed and iguana.

Iguanas are quite social and are often found in groups though they territorial tendencies my result in a battle for the alpha position. Iguanas are really great to have as pets because they are quite friendly animals.
