iExec officially launches, active on mainnet and open for worker registration

in #iexec7 years ago

iExec just completed their security audit and are now on mainnet

The first news for those following iExec is that the security audit has been completed. The team has pushed the smart contracts out to mainnet. What does this mean? This means the iExec computation network is active. The next step they will be taking is to open the network up to the public so that anyone can contribute CPU resources in exchange for RLC. This as far as I know is the first decentralized cloud network which is in operation.

The registrations are open for all who want to earn RLC right away

Just as you could mine Bitcoin with your CPU the "worker" in iExec sells CPU resources to the network in exchange for RLC. The public worker pool begins with an airdrop. This opening process is very similar to the process Steem went through back in 2016 where people will have the chance to get in early establishing themselves. For more information.
