Why You Should Be Using a Good Password-07.png

Email, social media, banking, and even gym membership accounts require passwords. We are living in the online age and that means having to remember countless logins and passwords to get into the digital worlds that manage our real lives. Chances are, you’ve probably reused a password on more than one account or maybe even used a not-so-secure password for the sake of actually remembering it. There aren’t many things more frustrating than trying to recover a lost password. Security questions? Yeah, you probably should have thought about those a little more seriously when you were making them.

Getting back to the passwords themselves, a survey conducted by PCMag earlier this year showed that 19% of people use their name or initials as passwords. Wedding dates, names of family members, and even addresses are used, too!

But even if you have a secure password, it might not be enough. A lot of services encourage Two Factor Authentication (2FA). This means that after entering your password, you will have to go a step further to confirm your identity by voice or text message or some other means that only the owner should have access to.

It is clear that security demands and protection for online data need to get better. This is a fact that IDM understands and is ready to provide a solution for with its patented SIZE technology. We offer a service stronger than anything thanks to post-quantum protection. To find out more, go to www.myidm.io.
