I got scammed recently. While trying to invest in an ICO I clicked a scam link to an identical website and sent 15 Ether to some anonymous thieves. I should have been more careful, and I know it is my own fault. I got off easy. 

But there is a way, right now, that I could have seen it was a scam.

What we need is a very simple blockchain that stores reputation about addresses on other chains. My wallet could use that blockchain to show me the reputation of an address I am about to send money to. 

How would this work? Well, let me tell you....

Let's say I am selling widgets and I accept Ethereum. Instead of posting an Ethereum address to receive funds, I would post an address in the Reputation Chain. That address would bring us to a record signed by the me that includes the Ethereum address I want to receive Ether at as well as my reputation score. A user's Reputation wallet would read that record and show them my reputation score. They would use their wallet to send funds on the Ethereum network and then store a transaction record on the Reputation chain.

If the buyer is satisfied with the widget then they can send another transaction to the reputation chain to say "Good Seller" and thus increase my reputation. However if the buyer is unsatisfied then would send a "Bad Seller" and decrease my reputation. Only the buyer would be able to do this since they would have to sign the transaction with the private key matching the public key of the original purchase.

If a user does put a Bad Seller record in for me then I can try to work things out with them and get them to remove the record. 

Finally, Reputation Chain would borrow a lot of concepts from steemit. When you say Good Seller and thousands of others agree, that will actually increase your reputation for good curation. On the other hand if you try to hurt people's reputation's by lying and everyone else disagrees then you would lower your own rep. The power of your good seller and bad seller transactions is weighted by your own reputation.

There are a lot of features that can be built on top of this, and perhaps I'll go into them in another post.

마지막으로 명성 체인은 steemit에서 많은 개념을 차용합니다. 굿 셀러와 수천 명의 다른 사람들이 동의하면 훌륭한 큐레이터에 대한 평판이 실제로 높아질 것입니다. 반면에 거짓말로 사람들의 명성에 해를 입히려하면 다른 모든 사람들이 동의하지 않으면 자신의 담당자를 낮추게됩니다. 좋은 판매자와 나쁜 판매자 거래의 힘은 당신의 명성에 비중을두고 있습니다.
