I suppose you have a lot of accounts in a lot of websites. I suppose (no, I hope) you use different passwords for them too. Well, I did. And I remember when I couldn't recall the password of an account, I would just reset it using my email. So did a friend of mine. But things went haywire when he forgot the password of his mail id, and he lost access to all of his accounts just like that. No recovery mail, no phone number linked.

But things got better with security measures like 2 factor authentication, but not everyone has implemented it in their websites. Saving passwords in your browser is not safe because anyone can have access to it. You can't write them down, because god knows where it can reach. I can't set a single password for all my accounts, because if one gets compromised, I'm done for good.

Even password managers are not sufficient today. You need to remember one password for the manager, and have to update it every time you change your password in each of your account. And don't get me started on hardware password storage devices. I can't even find a lost remote.

Only if there was something that could change the way we log into networks, eliminating the need for passwords.

Suppose if you have the Remme app on your phone, and want to log in through your laptop, the moment you click log in, the app will prompt you to check that it is really you who is trying to log in. one click access. Like it should be.

Why blockchain?

Blockchain is the main hero in this story. The details of your account, related devices, and the certificate, is loaded into a blockchain. Since blockchain is a decentralized, immutable ledger, the data that is present in the blockchain is not accessible to any hacker. As a matter of fact, they won't even know which block they have to attack to obtain your credentials.

Hackers can't even approach you indirectly to obtain your credentials, because even you don't know what or how the SSL looks. You don't have to. Remme takes care of all that without burdening you with the technicalities. Cyber-attacks like phishing, keylogging and brute forcing is impossible here, mainly because there is no password for the bad guys to find.

Remme is a platform that has real utility in a cyber dependent world like todays. We need all of our data and network accounts to be secured, and Remme is just the platform that can do it for us. Think about it, you don't have to hide your keyboard anymore from that shoulder snooping friend of yours. This project makes use of blockchain in the best way imaginable, and enforces the basic philosophy of blockchain – trust. So no more "forgot your passwords", just go ahead and forget your passwords!
