Photographer friends, have you heard about Wemark (new digital content marketplace on the blockchain, ICO May 7th)?
If you have, I'm curious to know if you're interested in them as a photographer or other form of digital content creator. They ICO on May 7th. In short, they are a digital content marketplace (starting with photography) that takes a much smaller slice than stock photography sites, content is licensed on the blockchain with their protocol which I assume is on Ethereum as smart contracts. I have a few of my photos on there (you've seen them, the ones from Baffin). Curious to see what other photographers think of them. Let me know in the comments!
"Light Storage"
A massive chunk of clear ice awaits the waves at Jökulsárlón, Iceland's most popular glacial lagoon.
This is the first time I've heard about it, but it seems pretty interesting. My initial question is how will the collection be marketed? I'm a part of Stocksy which pays out above industry rate and I keep 50-75% of all revenue. With Stocksy there is a dedicated team pushing the collection to potential clients and working with them. Even with that in place, making a decent income is not automatic. So with Wemark I have quite a bit of skepticism of it being profitable for artists. I would love to be proved wrong! I signed up today.
beautiful
Killer image man! I haven't heard of that ICO, i'll have a look for sure. I wonder how ICOs will go now, now that US residents cant participate
Just now hearing about Wemark via your post :-)
Love this colourful ice!! What a very beautiful
photograph!! My favorite colours all in one!
The shape of the ice reminds me of Thors
