Definitely interesting what stance South Korea will end up taking but for now it doesn't sound good for the cryptocurrency market in general. Will have to carefully watch how this proceeds to pan out. Hopefully other nations don't begin to follow suit or this could be seriously bad for the overall market.
Yes other countries like China may adopt this, expecially China, which has a lot of its money tied in bitcoin @tspink I noticed you did not vote the post.
