Authorship ICO: Revolutionising the book industry

While i was surfing the web for new ICOs yesterday, I stumbled upon one that could have an immense potential. It's called Authorship, which is an ICO that aims to build a market where readers, writers, publishers and translators can get together and pay each other for the services they offer each other.

As many authors only receive very small percentages of books sold (usually around 10%) in the traditional industry, Authorship aims to change that: For printed books, authors would get 50% of revenue and for e-books authors would receive as much as 90% of the revenue, the rest going to translators which are willing to translate the book into different languages. Publishers, on the other hand, will have to compete with each other, offering very low prices for the end consumer. If i was to buy a book and two publishers were each willing to produce it for 3$ and 2.50$ respectively, the one that "bid" 2.50$ would be the one printing the book. Because publishers want to cut down on logistical prices, they will only print a book if they are near you. That means that bigger publishers will gradually become smaller and smaller publishers will compete with each other. That means that the publishing industry would become more decentralised over time. On top of that, cutting down on logistical energy reduces the waste of energy for the book industry globally.

Even though the Idea behind authorship is great, the entire ecosystem and the market haven't been built yet, meaning that the fundraisers could theoretically abandon working on the project and leaving you empty-handed.
