What is Eloncity ?

Eloncity is the power and energy-based platform that is striving to make power infrastructure a decentralized thing that will be easier to spread around the world at almost no cost. By separating the infrastructure into millions of self-sufficient micro-grids, the energy produced by the micro-grids would be available at any time and any place. The CEO and starter of the platform, Andy Li, was inspired by Elon Musk to start up this project. Li’s goal is to make power a universal good that can reach any countries and cities and take care of any power deficiencies that are going on in the world. With the micro power grids that platform bases their project on, and the energy stored within them, Eloncity has the possibility to solve the universal issue of power imbalances and make history as a great source of renewable energy production that is actually successful on a global scale. With free electricity accessible to the world, no one will have to go without warmth and light ever again. Also, since the energy that is produced is clean and renewable as well, the environment will not have to suffer as much either.

Why Do We Need Eloncity?

The world's population is increasing day by day. With that, the demand for electrical energy is increasing too. So centralized AC grids will not be a cost-efficient solution for transmitting a huge amount of electrical energy for long distances when considering the losses ( transmission loss and distribution loss ). And with the increasing demand, the above-mentioned problems in centralized AC power electrical systems too get more effective. So this technology must change, there must be a better way or a way without these problems. Project Eloncity seems to be a very good solution for this when considering the "Eloncity Model" which was created to address all the challenges faced by this centralized AC power electrical systems.

Roadmap

As Eloncity will be a long term project, they have already planned their roadmap until the 4th quarter of 2022. The idea behind this project already have started back in the end of 2014. I'm sure a more detailed roadmap will be reveiled in the whitepaper and also after the ICO. Team

Bryan Allen from NASA, Eloncity's first mentor has been revealed. He is a software engineer for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Task Force. He began working at NASA in 1987, now working with the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in two capacities, as an ACE to send commands to the spacecraft.
Robert Mao, he was the one who worked in microsoft. He is a research fellow in Microsoft Research, a serial entrepreneur and innovator of new technologies, along with Flavien Charlon (creator of Open Asset Photocol and Open Chain). He is an expert on blockchain technology and uses it extremely creatively.
