ICO at a glance. Part 3
If you are still laughing at gamers…you should know that it’s a more than $100 bln industry. So, if you apply blockchain there do you imagine how much money you can make? That’s why gaming and VR ICO are on the top. From the beginning of the year such companies raised about $500 mln through the crowdfunding. However, again we should be quite precise in evaluating these products, because of high competition in the industry and growing popularity of gaming and VR. Today we look at two projects that raised the most amount of money during crowdfunding.
If we look at the average numbers of funds raised it’s something like $10 mln per project, but in fact, there was one project which got more than $300 mln.
- Dragon - that is where we start from.
The ICO was held in the beginning of spring. The numbers are very impressive with high professional marketing . What is actually Dragon? It’s another one ERC-20 token strongly underpinned by a substantial gaming business in Macau. According to their whitepaper and roadmap we can wait for their expansion in the Q2 2018. Dragon is not simply a coin, they are going to build a whole ecosystem. The Dragon Social Wallet app is under development, Dragon exchange platform is also coming and prepaid Dragon Credit Card is also being waited.
For investors
The ICO price was 0.005 ETH, and better you’ve sold it at the time when DRG was listed on exchanges. In March you could easily make x10 on your ETH investments. A few days ago you could buy it back again for the ICO price. Now DRG price on HitBTC is about 0.008 ETH.
- The next project we want to discuss is Play2live. Comparing to Dragon the money they raised don’t look so huge, $30 mln only, but the project itself looks quite promising in our opinion. Play2Live is a start-up in the gaming and eSports streaming arena. Their plans look very ambitious and solid. According to the roadmap we can wait for alpha- and beta-version in Q2-3 2018. The thing I personally doubt about– geolocation and the team. We’ll see, but as we know, a half of Russian ICO’s are unfortunately scam.
For investors
Level Up Coin price is about $0.01. This might be interesting comparing to ICO price of $0.05. You can trade it on Yobit or HitBTC exchange. So, if you want to invest, now might be a good time.
