Healthcare has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few centuries. We have progressed for treating all diseases by just letting out bad blood to personalised and preventive healthcare that involves a lot of antibiotics, vaccines and antiviruses that were unheard of during those days.

Epidemics could be prevented, lots of lives saved and it all seemed futuristic and borderline magical.
But even these advances seem puny in the face of new advances that we could achieve in processing and understanding our DNA. It could allow for preventive medication, truly personalised medicines, prevention of future disease, getting rid of bad traits and so on. The list is endless. Imagine you are a programmer and you got access to the most powerful coding platform on the most powerful supercomputer. It is the same here, where you get access to the code that makes you "You". Imagine being able to change the coding to promote traits and behaviours that you wanted and vice-versa. But there are inherent flaws present such as you don't want this immensely sensitive data to fall in wrong hands or be misused or to be able to process them for less rates. It also means that it much more secure, transparent, flexible and scalable. This means that you can safely share it with your doctor so that they can provide the proper medication for you.
