What is Gemstra?

Gemstra is a decentralized blockchain ecosystem with the aim of creating a technological protocol in the social sales area. The Gemstra project will make the social sales sector accessible and useful for everyone. The Gemstra ecosystem will provide an innovative partnership for social sales by providing a technology that distributes the power of the social sales model to active vendors in the sector. Also, Gemstra is a project that will open the doors of the sales industry to every individual in the retail sector. 

What is Social Selling?

Social selling is the use of social networks to develop brands relationships with their customers or to find and interact directly with potential customers. Social selling provide the advantage of presenting the products of the companies they represent through single or multi-level sales models to more than 120 million independent retailers worldwide. 

Social selling sector have become limitlessly marketable, especially through the rise of social media in these days. The social selling industry is worth $180 billion, up 10% year-on-year, indicating that it will increase to over $1 trillion after 10 years. The Gemstra project is based on very strong foundations, as it addresses a high potential audience in this area.

Gemstra Ecosystem

As you can see from the infographic above, there are three actors active in the Gemstar ecosystem. These are sellers, merchants and brands.

• Sellers: These are the elements that bring the product together with the customer in the ecosystem. They have the information to reach customers. However, this information is not shared with merchants and brands.
• Merchants: Merchants manage all transactions between vendors and brands by integrating their trading platforms with the ASTRA Platform. Traders can also integrate their systems into open source Gemstar software.
• Brands: Brands are the elements that fill a large gap in the ecosystem by creating their own business models between vendors and merchants.

ASTRA Platform

ASTRA is an intelligent contract platform based on the Ethereum network. ASTRA creates an open ecosystem where the elements of Gemstra can define how to interact with each other through customizable options in the social sales area. The direct sales model we know as marketing includes only two elements. These are seller and brand. In this case, the brand must use its own software to manage their commercial integration. This also means the cost item. With ASTRA, there is a merchant plugin on the Gemstra platform to link brands and vendors together. 

In this way, brands can work with more than one vendor; vendors can work with more than one brand through the merchant plugin. As a result, ASTRA creates a common economy that gives each element of the ecosystem the freedom to choose to maximize sales patterns and profitability.

General Overview

In the last 10 years of social media has been of great importance in human life. From this point of view, a blockchain initiative of the social sales sector shows that Gemstra has a team that can analyze the market well. In addition, it will serve as a bridge between customers, sellers and brands. My personal opinion is that Gemstra will make a name for itself in the future.
