Placo ICO - get paid to play games
For this article I'm going to be writing about a new ICO for gamers. It's called Placo or Player Coin.
So what is it? No it's not for guys who want chicks.. (although such coins allegedly exist.. https://boingboing.net/2017/08/06/crypto-snake-oil.html)..
It's a coin all about playing games to earn cash:
Do you remember sites like NewGrounds, or FreeGames you'd play as a kid to goof around? Do you remember getting paid to play them? Well now that payment is in Crypto.

Notes to keep in mind:
I'm personally going to throw a few hundred at this while it's cheap, if it can have solid games, and anyone can play them (kids and their parents), it could make a lot of money. I mean who wouldn't want to get paid to play games?
Coin positives:
- some hype
- will have community in gamers
- Actual Purpose in real world (in gaming)
- Controlled supply (100 million possible coins to mine via playing. There's 50 million in general, and potentially 50 million are raised at ICO at max, if it doesn't reach 50 million's worth at ICO, then the rest are burned. So if you get 7 million in ICO for instance, then total coinage is that 7 + 50)
- Price right now is CHEAP (as it's an ICO).
- Has 8% Proof of Stake (essentially a dividend), and PoP (Proof of Play, never done before)
Negatives:
- Proof of Stake of 8% is great, but needs to be careful not to incur inflation down the line
- Its power will be based on community and hype, if it doesn't have a solid resume of games, it will be stuck
- The team behind it is a lot of unknowns, although they have a great original idea
Final grade 6/10 (short term gains, if it shows more promise later, hold longer)
