The Round Trip of Iceland - Reykjavi'k

Though Iceland is know for it's ever shifting landscape, where you see an absurd amount of waterfalls followed by lava fields and glaciers, what blew me away initially before I embarked on my round trip of the country was not only the architecture, but the amount of street art that was around the city of Reykjavi'k. Though the city is small, as expected seeing as the population of the country is around 330,000 people, it is truly worth exploring on foot so that you can see all the hidden gems of street art littered throughout the alleys, abandoned buildings, or simply on the back of random houses.

The first image is of the Harpa Concert Hall, and although I didn't see any shows there, it was definitely worth going into, as the interior was stunning.

And though it's somewhat lame to admit, I found street art such as this by using pokemon go as not only a map of the city, but as a way to scout out the map, checking pokestops to see what the art was at the location, or what was interesting about that place. I highly recommend it as a tool when traveling, even if not catching pokemon, as it is an active map, and has a wide area that will have destination markers with images attached to them, such as the house below.

It's a fascinating country, and exploring the city was a great start to the trip, where seeing waterfalls became more of a chore, and basalt columns were just another rock-face to quickly walk by.
