IndonesiaRed cat or in Latin called Pardofelis badia is one species of small cats endemic to the island of Borneo. Unfortunately not many know this rare red cat. I myself have never once seen Red Cats from this kalimantan, even at the zoo. Maybe my friend has seen it?

This Red Cat is a close relative and is still a common ancestor with the Golden Cat (Asian Golden Cat) which is widely found in Sumatra, and some Southeast Asian countries. It is estimated that this endemic cat Kalimantan has been around since 4 million years ago when the island of Borneo is still united with mainland Asia.

Not much can be explored about the endemic behavior of this rare Kalimantan cat. Red Cats (Pardofelis badia) include nocturnal animals with plenty of activities in the evenings to hunt birds, mice and monkeys. In addition to a hunter, the Red Cat (Catopuma badia) also eats the carcasses of animals found in the forest.
