My family are immigrants
Illegal Immigration and Criminals: A Hard Line Stance
Illegal immigration is one thing, but allowing violent criminals to flood into a country unchecked is a disaster. My family immigrated legally from Bari, Italy—one by one—because my grandfather couldn’t afford to bring everyone at once. There was no cutting in line, no gaming the system. They worked hard, assimilated, and built a life from nothing. That’s how immigration should work.
But today, we’re seeing something different. There’s no serious vetting, no filtering out of criminals. And I’m not talking about petty offenses—I’m talking about serious criminals: rapists, murderers, gang members, and traffickers. Europe has already shown us what happens when you open the floodgates without vetting. Look at the rise in violent crime, terrorist attacks, and social unrest in places like France, Germany, and Sweden. It’s a mess, and I don’t want to see the same thing happen here.
America should welcome hardworking, law-abiding immigrants who want to contribute to society. But that means a system with strict enforcement, proper vetting, and zero tolerance for criminal elements. It’s not about race, nationality, or being anti-immigration—it’s about protecting our country from those who come here with bad intentions.
We have laws for a reason. Let’s enforce them.
