African airlines cargo volumes down 9% in January: IATA

African airlines saw cargo volumes decline 9.5 percent in January 2023 compared to January 2022, according to the latest update from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This was an improvement in performance compared to the previous month (-10 percent). Capacity was 1.8 percent below January 2022 level, the update added.
