Construction of Hyperloop in Abu Dhabi will begin in 2019
Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, also known as HyperloopTT, announced this week that it will begin construction of the Hyperloop commercial track in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Construction will begin in the third quarter of 2019. This news, apparently, extends the agreement, which was announced in April. It was then that HyperloopTT and the state-run developer announced the acquisition of a construction site on which the creation of a 10-kilometer commercial track will take place.
HyperloopTT and its competing startup Virgin Hyperloop One attracted $ 31.2 million and $ 196.2 million, respectively. Both startups regularly conduct feasibility studies for Hyperloop systems around the world and announce agreements with governments that would like to receive cash for the potential use of hyperloops.

However, none of the startups has yet publicly demonstrated a speed record, and the technical details of both companies about how their levitating train will go around curves and slow down with passengers at a speed of more than 1000 km / h remain secret. HyperloopTT is also building its first test site in Toulouse, France. Virgin Hyperloop One has a test site in Nevada, but in recent months there has been a bit of news.
Earlier this month, HyperloopTT announced the creation of a prototype of a commercial passenger bean covered with sensors to increase safety (although the effectiveness of the device or its sensors remains to be determined). However, Virgin Hyperloop One also has a competitive agreement to build a test site in Dubai, the most populated city in the UAE.
