How to recognize HYIP scams by Chad Burton
I have to get this out of the way because I've been writing PMs to new investors and new crypto investors, with some heartbreaking stories in there, of people really needing the money that they had invested into Hexabot. (No that's not my money above BTW)
The most important lesson you can learn about investing and crypto investing is that:
1. ALL INVESTMENTS COME WITH RISKS. DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT INVEST YOUR RENT, FOOD, GAS, UTILITIES, LIFE SAVINGS, COLLEGE MONEY, MEDICINE MONEY, OR SHORT TERM FUNDS INTO CRYPTO LET ALONE HYIPS or BOTS.
I'm sorry for having to yell that but I cannot stress the above statement enough. Fight FOMO, do your research, and spread your risks.
2. Most of your cryptocurrency should actually be in Buy and HODL, in my opinion.
You really should only put a small portion of your crypto into HYIPs and bot projects in general. If you do decide to go the HYIP route, ask your peers for their opinion. You can go to any of the Hexabot Supergroup's 3 chat channels to talk about the pros and cons of various projects. I have seen thousands of dollars saved from channel members warning new users away from dubious and sometimes flat out awful investment projects or "projects" in many cases. 99% of HYIP schemes vanish within 6 months or less.
3. Most of those HYIP review sites feature a revolving door of HYIPs, and are just chasing ad dollars.
I have come across overwhelming evidence that there are chat bots on some of those sites programmed to push out fake withdraw reports. You can tell because they but won't provide blockchain Tx or respond to questions).
4. You can use the search function within Telegram to see what your peers think and have said about various projects in the past. For instance, if you were to type in "Laser" you would see many tales of woe (and me warning against investing in Laser since the Supergroup's origin). If you're the first, lucky you, maybe you can do a quick review for the group. ;D
If you go to Adville, a personal ad channel I set up for the Hexabot community to more easily share your own recommendations and scam warnings, you can also see who is affiliated with what project. If you feel like it, you can ask them questions about their experience directly publicly or privately if you'd like. Telegram is required to access this link:

5. If it's too good to be true...it most likely is too good to be true.
And if it does turn out to be too good to be true...it'll likely that it'll stay that way forever. :(
6. Stay away from HYIP template sites.
They're a dime a dozen. They all have the same basic look and feel (except with different graphics and color schemes, with UK registration built-in, ready for some sack of feces to come along to scam others in about a day or so, from templated scratch.
7. You will never ever see those inflated returns that you see advertised in some HYIPs.
No you will not make 1700% in X days. I'm really sorry to inform you that you will also not see 4000% in Y days either. Payouts that you may see are likely going to the founder, or his/her friends and family.
8. Stealth HYIPs. Beware of sites claiming to be around for 2 or 3 years.
Oftentimes the dirtbag founders will have seeded several HYIPs that were running as private pyramids - to friends and family only. In a year or 2, they can go public yet claim that they were around for years, in order to get the fake authenticity of a faked track record. That, or they can just straight up fake being around that long (one can look up DNS and Site registration records if interested).
9. When all else fails, and you want an extra opinion, you can always reach out to me on Telegram (Chad Burton).
I may not be able to get to your PM anytime soon with my current PM avalanche but I will give you my honest opinion (which would likely involve me saying "no" to most of your HYIP investment ideas ;D ). You can also reach out to another admin. They're smart. :) There's nothing really new under the sun, mostly just recycling of the same scams over and over again.
Please feel free to share this article with your friends or family members thinking about investing into a HYIP or several HYIPs.
Shout out to all the Hexabot Supergroup admins! You guys kick ass and are hilarious. :)
