Genesis block in the Bitcoin distributed ledger system was generated on Jan 03, 2009. Litecoin and Dash networks were launched in 2011 and 2014 correspondingly. And Ethereum network went live on 30 July 2015 and suddenly changed the whole crypto-world, forever. Hundreds of separate blockchains and forks were developed since those times, and thousands of different tokens have been minted on them. But why we still can't transfer value between all these networks like inside one homogeneous crypto-ocean? Or at least between the most-used networks, like Bitcoin and Ethereum? It is a bit strange and out of the initial vision of crypto, isn't it?

Fortunately today, in 2020, we already may be watching some attempts to unite the crypto-world again. But, if consider such "Internets of Blockchains" as Cosmos, Polkadot, or Blocknet a bit closer, we could notice that on the way of realizing their goals, in varying degrees, they are sacrificing such key characteristics like decentralization and network security. And, of course, we know that these characteristics are subjects number one in crypto space and they always must be on the highest level.

Hybrix team considers that exactly keeping the initial blockchain features untouched and allowing users to utilize the strengths of different types of distributed ledger technologies with different consensus mechanisms is the way to succeed in this competition. And of course, the team reinforces these words with their conceptual development, a Hybrix second-level token protocol that can transact value between different DLTs, using the attachment section of the block where the meta-data of a zero-value transaction is stored. Every block of every blockchain or distributed ledger system has this section, no matter even what type of consensus the network utilizes. So to use this section for transferring value between different blockchains is very clever and pretty simple at the same time decision, isn't it? I really don't know why no one came up with this before, it is a genius idea.

Of course, the realizing of this conception will require some blockchain platform where users will interact with different DLTs and toolkits developed by the Hybrix dev team. And since the Hybrix concept envisages borderless colored cross-chain HY token and ability to mint other configurable HRC1 tokens, the platform also must have the tools for issuing these tokens and tracking them. And, of course, it must have the ability to run dApps by third-party developers and own decentralized docker for this purpose. And you already can get it and use it on your own discretion, because the code is open-source. And you also should read the Hybrix's Manifesto that was recently produced by the team, to better understand the project and its core ideology.

Hybrix is being built since 2011, and I can say without a doubt that the team knows how important is to stick to the primary idea of blockchain and decentralized finances. And what about the tech side, the most important work is already done and may be utilized by the engineers and crypto-enthusiasts to build new opportunities to unite the crypto-ocean again. Now everyone can connect through the API and start building his own unique products and dApps on top of the Hybrix protocol. Just go to the project's GitHub page to get weekly updates from the dev team. And if you face some issues you are always welcome to the dev's telegram group where you can ask for help to with solving it directly the team members. Just join the main discussion group and ask an official admin to add you.

Of course, you also should read the whitepaper and other technical documentation that will allow you to understand how exactly the Hybrix protocol works. But, if you want to integrate the Hybrix protocol into your own chain, you should know that your DLTmust meet the following requirements:

  1. All transactions in your blockchain must be immutable.
  2. Transaction signing and authentication must be verifiable.
  3. In order to verify the transaction chain, all transactions must be publicly available.
  4. Transaction in your chain must have the next characteristics: a) unique transaction ID; b) an attachment field for storing data; c) source and target address(es).

Right, absolutely nothing special or extraordinary. And integrating the Hybrix protocol into your ow DLT gives you a unique opportunity to become a part of the powerful meta-level, cross-ledger value transfer system of the future blockchain world ecosystem. Think about this.
