Donations Leaving for Texas Hurricane Harvey Relief!
A few days ago, my husband came home from a trip determined to help the people affected by hurricane Harvey. I was in total agreement and put the word out to some close friends that we were looking for stuff to take to Texas.
Holy crap! We filled the trailer! Water, clothes, toiletries, storage boxes, formula, diapers, snacks, drink mixes, blankets.
The kids made 20 care packages in big totes.
The girls wrote inspirational notes, including faith, some song lyrics, unicorns...and one about unicorn farts. I hope they bring some smiles to people.
The rest was water, clothes, and some small toys and comfort items.
2300 pounds of supplies!!
My husband is also taking extra fuel and his own food and water so as not to be a burden on an already overwhelmed area.
He is taking everything to a shelter he has made contact with.
Anyway, I just wanted to say how proud I am of him and of my friends and family for helping however they could. Some good vibes for his trip to and from the disaster would be greatly appreciated. Much love.
Genuine good people, hard to find but still exist. I'm sending all my goodwill to you and your family. I hope you can make a real difference to people in need.
