There is nothing like going out into nature like this.
I love the fresh air, exercise, peace and quiet of the woods.
And of course, eating fresh, organic food that nature provided.
I used to bow hunt but now I prefer a rifle. I generally use military surplus, because, as you say, there is less to go wrong. They are built for durability.
We hunt to provide meat on the table. As the price of meat rises, this is ever more important for us.
Troy, I love to be out in God's great outdoors and I love the taste of deer meat. I also love to rabbit and Squirrel hunt as well as bird hunt quail, dove, as well as Partridge.
I also love to be out in God's Great Outdoors with the fresh air and the bonus are the beautiful views that you come across while out hunting.
I have been a Bow Hunter for 30 plus years now and I have rifled hunted for 23 years now but I have really taken up using an Inline Muzzleloader over the past 20 years. But my passion is truly Bow Hunting.
I also hunt to put meat on my families table however this year because of work scheduling I have not been able to get out as much as I would like.
Thank you so much for you input on this discussion and may you, your wife, and your little one have an awesome Christmas.
I got a muzzle loader for grid down purposes. If the grid fails on us long term then I can use that. I am learning how to keep it going on such a situation.
There used to be good YouTube videos on making your own powder but sadly YT removed them for some reason.
I have a bow and a cross bow as well for survival needs. Silent is good.
Thank you.
May you and your family have a great and safe holiday season :)
@thediyworld. Ha ha. Now that's funny! You have a muzzle loading rifle for "grid down"??
Seriously??
What, a regular gun or rifle, shotgun, bow (compound, long bow) or cross bow won't work during grid down??
SMH.
"I love the fresh air, exercise, peace and quiet of the woods." And killing a young fawn
@the-diy-world You dont believe in ethical hunting then Troy?
The big hunter! You look ridiculous! You're a poser.
Well, this is an article about hunting, so yes, I eat deer. It was a one year old and I needed meat. I had a license and registered the kill.
Dont see the problem.
Real men only shoot bucks with at least 8 points...
You are a pathetic loser who had to buy a mail order
bride from a foreign country...
Check out the survival skills of the great humter who bought 300 pounds
of animal feed at the farmers market, and then magically converted it
into human food....Disgusting that he would make his pregnant "wife"
eat animal slop...

Troy being the outdoorsman and hunter you are, can you explain to the readers how the animal in the above picture is identified has 'a one year old' - a yearling.
Explain using your own words and not a cut and paste job like you normally do.
Why do you think it is ethical to hunt an animal that is a 'year old'?
Troy you go out for 10 min sit on your phone then go in because you get cold! You say on your videos. You shoot fawns and brag about filling the frezzer with 15 pouds of meat. Yep you are a hunter
