RE: The Highlights of the Junk Mail Folder. Or Is That Lowlights?
What make me wonder is, that they still try this stuff like "Your PayPal account will be closed if you don't klick here" and such. Are there still people who fall for this? Appearantly yes, or it would not be tried anymore. But after so many years, its pretty weird.
I'm also getting a lot more spam mails (or scam mails) lately. The good thing is, they all look the same: just one big sentence as a link, about different subjects in each mail, like Crypto currencies, health products, and what ever. And since no sane person would write a email that way, it easy to spot and delete them. Again, the same thought: why would anybody write them so stupidly and send them in the first place? Are there really people who think "oh something about Cryptos, lets read this" and click on that link?
It's exactly the question I ask myself: Surely no one falls for--but yes, as you say, obviously they do. But while most of them are easy for someone to pick out, every now and then one does come around that does a pretty good job of fooling people--and those are the really dangerous ones.
Yes, true, on rare occassions there is a better made example. Thats why I never click on links or open attachments unless I know what it is.
And on the opposite end, I've seen fake mail that were so incredibly badly made that it was already funny. Like mails from my bank, appearantly writen by a 7 year old, who doesn't speak much german. But then, in times like these, also the banks have to save on staff costs.... :)
Yeah, some of those are clearly designed by people who never bothered to learn to spell, or even learn the language they're supposed to be speaking. They seem to be clueless about the people they're trying to cheat. They've got a great future ahead of them in politics!
Well, I suppose being a fraudster is a perfect qualification for a politician. :)
