You know I wonder about this myself. I understand the process but it does not sit well with me that it is stored. States that keep it indefinably really make me wonder why.
Plus they claim that they own the DNA that is contained in the blood sample (i.e. Your's, your babies and anyone else's who has been born in the past few decades). Here's a great episode by one of my favorite podcasters and open source media guys @corbettreport (James Corbett). Extremely informative, and all sourced material (sources in the episode notes). We hope that people will become aware of this. If they claim to own your DNA then they are also claiming to own you!
