Bitcoin mining operations Mawson Infrastructure Group has begun hosting deals with key players in the mining industry. On March 1, documents from the Securities and Exchange Commission show that Mawson has signed a 100-megawatt co-location agreement with Celsius Mining. Three days later, Mawson Foundry announced a 12-megawatt co-location deal with Digital.

Mawson Infrastructure Group is stepping into the bitcoin mining industry as the company has recently partnered with Celsius Mining and Foundry Digital. Bitcoin.com News reported in the past about the bitcoin mining operation Mawson when the firm acquired 11,760 next-generation A1246 ASIC Avalonminers from Canaan.

Just before the acquisition of Mining Equipment, Mawson rebranded and changed the company name from Wiz Pharma to Mawson Infrastructure Group. The company was rebranded at the end of March 2021, and at the time, Mawson CEO James Manning said the move toward strengthening the global digital resource infrastructure was similar to the Antarctic exploration of explorer and geologist Sir Douglas Mawson.

On March 1, 2022, Mawson signed an agreement with Celsius Mining, a mining subsidiary of the crypto lender Celsius Network. SEC documents show that Celsius Mining will provide a mining facility to host 100-megawatt (MW) co-location.
