How to Upcycle Glass Bottles
Upcycling is a great way to re-use bottles which would have otherwise gone in the trash. Glass bottles can easily be turned into vases for flowers, adding beauty and colour to your home and saving you some money in the process. With this upcycle you can choose the size and colour you'd like your vase to be, instead of just buying something ready made that might not be exactly what you want.
Upcycle Glass Bottles
List of things you'll need
- glass bottles
- scissors
- rubber bands
- painters tape
- aluminium foil
- spray paint
Step 1
Create a striped pattern with the rubber bands.
Step 2
Above the top rubber band, place the painters tape.
Step 3
Cover the top of the bottle with aluminium foil, hold in place by taping down the bottom edge of the foil and making sure that the tape does not go below the tape applied in step 2.
Step 4
Spray the bottle with several light coats until opaque, with about a minute between each coat.
Wait until the paint is fully dry then carefully cut off the rubber bands, all that's left to do now is to fill with water and your favourite flowers.
