What you need to know about steemit.
==
Part 1 and 2

And the best way to make money.

Part 3 and 4

Part 1.

Hello there all you great Steemers,
Steemians..Steemsmen and Steemiteers.

First of all I want to give you all a warm welcome for joining this community Called Steemit.

My name is @mrgranville and my goal is to help new steemians get a fresh start. On how to get yourself a nice cashflow going. What to do and what not. And why steemit is gonna be the best thing you ever met.

This post is "NOT" gonna be super long so you don't have to read a lot.
But if you do think you need some extra help after this. During this post I will put some links to other useful tutorials and different links to great steemians and projects. So don't worry. I won't leave you hanging.

But for right now I will take you trough the basics just to enlighten you of all the possibilities.
Remember all my advice is nothing different from what I have learned from different Steem Whales, Dolphins and Minnows.

Having said that. I must explain to you what these names all mean.
So first thing first.
I will teach you the different words you will come across very often during your visits to the Steemplatform.
I won't give a detailed description but just a basic understanding and explanation plus links to other sites who do give you a detailed description.

Let's Start
===

Voting Power
Voting power can be seen as energy. Everytime you upvote you lose energy. As your energy decreases, your upvotes will get less and less worth. The more voting power you have the more your upvotes are gonna be worth. For more information on how to use Voting Power. You can click here.

SteemPower
Steem Power (SP) is basically like a concentrating force. When you earn rewards for posting and voting, a part of this is paid to you in Steem Power. When you Power Up, you are increasing your SP also. SP gives you stronger voting influence. For more detailed info you can check this link.

Curation Reward
A curation reward is what you receive when you vote on a post. A minimum 50% of the rewards of any post will go to the author so it pays of the be a curator and an author. The other 50% is divided between the author, the people that vote and those who commented. You should know that the curation rewards are paid out in Steem Power not steem dollars, SBD. This Steem Power increases the power of your upvotes so you are helping authors of the post even more with greater rewards and yourself in the process. For more information on the subject you can follow this link.

Dtube
D.Tube is the first crypto decentralized videoplatform. That is built on top of the STEEM Blockchain and also the IPFS peer-to-peer network. Here is a link where you can find out more about this great platform with Steemit.

Steemd
Steemd is one of the websites where you will find all the information that is recorded in Blockchain. On the main page you will see the records of the last post written in Blockchain. Also you can find some technical information about your steemit account which can come in very handy regarding VP and such. I will provide you with a link to the steemdwebsite. All you have to do is change the name at the end of the linkadres( com/@ mrgranville )to any other name you wish to know more about. Here you can read more how it all works.

Voting bot
Well. The name allready says a lot but still if you are wondering. Voting bot are robots that to the voting for you. In different kinda ways. And that is it. I myself am not a favour of voting bots. But will admit that used them quit often. 🙊🙉🙈
Just to get a post boosted or to boost one of another steemian who I think is worthy of it (this could be you if you put on some useful and good content)
Here are some link1 link2
describing a view of the voting bots used. And here is a link to the steem bot tracker site.

Thanks for the call out. Just a heads up the section on curation I believe is indirect. The first 75% goes to the author and 25% to curation which is split dependant on the number and the time they voted.

Thanks for commenting..and thanks for calling it out.
I really don't know the exact calculation. That is why I stated that it was a minimum of. Also mentioned that the other 50% is divided between the author and others. Plus It refers to a link giving a deeper insight.
If it is really in argue. I will change it. But people can now also look it up for themselves since you have mentioned it..so thanx😉

Good primer, looking forward to the series!

It’s always nice to see people who are willing to educate newcomers.
Keep up the good work!

Great start to your series. It was well thought out, organized, and to the point. I learned a thing or two about presenting primers like this in easy. It’s size chunks.
