How to know what to learn- 3 steps.

in #howto7 years ago (edited)

Hello my dear steemer's, welcome back to my blog, as I promised, I am going to give you 3 steps today to how to choose a profession or career track, so let's go straight to the content.

If you have also reached the stage where you have the midst of thoughts and considerations about starting academic studies or certificate studies and not finding yourself, this next blog is for you.

The herd effect is a very common effect among all age people. Most of us choose to learn what our friends are learning, what our parents are working in, and especially what sounds "popular" and "contemporary."

Is this really the right direction for you? Can you max your potential in these professions? Not sure at all!

After high school shock is very common among the youngs. I have personally experienced five years of not knowing what to do and in a variety of other times in life too . But, the important thing is that this is something solvable. In three initial steps I will try to give you an initial direction to understand what is the right path for you and what is best for you to learn.

Step 1 - Define yourself

In order to understand what really suits us to learn, we need to understand what our strengths are.

Many times in our lives we think that we are good at certain things, but sometimes we do not recognize our talents and virtues that are actually noticed by those around us. In order to try to understand what I really am good at and what my talents are, I recommend that you do the following in two steps:

In the first step, take a sheet of paper and a pen and write down a number of positive traits that you believe to be in you. Do not be impulsive, look inside and try to understand your true strengths.

In the second stage, ask your friends or family members to note for you some of the character traits or talents that you have, and of course they will be need to be only positive. Sometimes the attributes we attach to ourselves do not match what the environment sees in us. Sometimes external observation can teach us a thing or two about ourselves.

Merge both lists and mark the overlapping properties. These programs are probably the most prominent among you. Now you can move on to the next level.

Step 2 - What motivates you

Whether we like it or not, values always lead us in all the choices in our lives, as well as in choosing a profession or field of study. Values can be: principles, red lines or anything that motivates us every single day.

Now try to think about the principles that guide you, whether it's integrity, sincerity, perseverance, truth or anything that comes to your mind.

Many times our red lines or our values can by the elimination method help us know what we should not do. In addition, many subjects are compatible with different values. If, for example, one of the values that leads you in life is "helping others," it would be right to choose "social work", management of associations, customer service and more.

Step 3-The role model for you

Each of us has a role model or a person we value. I believe that this person can testify a great deal about your mission in life in general and the profession you need to learn in particular.

If you decipher the qualities, what are the achievements, talents and aspirations of that person you can throw it into your life and even get another glimpse in the right direction for you.

That person does not have to be a family member, friend or acquaintance, expand your consciousness to people from all over the world and from all periods of time. It could be a singer, a thinker, a professor, an entrepreneur or anyone who is a role model for you.

After you have found a number of such people, try to understand that you have chosen them. Is it because of their achievements? Is it because of their appearance? Is it because of their determination? Is it because of the process they have undergone?

It is possible that the people you have chosen point to the profession you need to study. how? If you chose people from the field of entrepreneurship, it may be something that burns in you and that is perhaps the direction that appeals to you.

In this confused stage of life, sometimes some order and introspection can flood and raise ideas that you have not yet thought of. Try to find a link between the results you received in the three steps.

Do you know a profession that "shouts out" from these findings? Is this profession really feasible for them? Is this your ambition in life? Many of the answers are on the page you wrote! and in your mind now.

In the final stage, I recommend that you go online and check out which professions are appropriate for everything you have discovered today. You may be surprised to discover new and interesting professions that can suit you.
